Help & guides
Step-by-step walkthroughs for getting the most out of Campound — from finding trails to planning multi-day trips. Each guide is a few minutes long and includes screenshots from the iPhone app.
Find a trail
Discover trails and forest roads near where you're looking — by panning the map or searching by name. Includes the action row, elevation profile, and offline tips.
Find a spot
Discover campgrounds in view, check site availability across a date range, and find the best-rated open sites. Pulls real availability from Recreation.gov.
Dictionary
Define the kinds of things you draw on the map — give each type a name, icon, color, and a structured form of your own design. Syncs to your other devices and the watch.
Map tools
Drop points, trace lines, record GPS tracks, and snap photos right on the map — all using the types you defined in the Dictionary.
Layers
Mission control for what shows on the map. State, basemap, and every overlay — with per-layer filters for trails, vehicle routes, and land ownership.
Trip planner
Plan an A-to-B road trip with a corridor search for campgrounds and trails along the way. Shortlist your picks, then navigate the whole thing.
Capture a photo
Take a geolocated photo from the toolbar or import one from your library. Photos cluster on the map and open in the carousel.
Offline data
Pre-download a state — or a whole region — so trails, forest roads, ownership, and basemap tiles are all readable without signal.
Sharing data
Export your points, lines, and photos as a .campound archive, open one a friend sent, and use the bundle filter to keep imports neatly separate.
Navigation
Turn-by-turn that doesn't stop at the trailhead — paved roads, forest-service dirt, and singletrack trails in one offline session. With voice, haptics, watch, and CarPlay.
